Il cervello va in scena
June 26, 2026
Teatro Niccolini, Firenze (Via Ricasoli 3)
A unique exploration encompassing neuroscience, meditation, and artistic performance: this is the heart of the event born from the collaboration between the European infrastructure EBRAINS and the international network AccelNet, developed out of the Neuroaesthetics Laboratory of Museo Galileo.
The event, which is open to the public, will kick off in the afternoon with a focus on mind and consciousness, featuring an interdisciplinary dialogue between Khangser Rinpoche and Marcello Massimini. The highlight of this session will be a live meditation session monitored in real time via EEG and biosensors, followed by a round-table discussion bridging contemplative traditions and science.
In the evening, the stage will transform into a creative laboratory. It begins with NeuroRhapsody, a "neuro-concert" where the musicians' brainwaves are translated into visual projections, and continues with FLOCK, an innovative "neuro-ballet" that translates the dancers' biological data into images.
Admission is free, but subject to availability.
