On February 11 th , on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the Galileo Museum is launching a project that is unique in Italy and invites the public to play a crucial role in creating a digital library on women and astronomy, titled Women of the Sky. This citizen science initiative focuses on the history of science and aims to highlight the significant contributions of female scholars who, with their work and dedication, have shaped our understanding of the cosmos, despite often being invisible, overlooked or forgotten. This project serves not only to recover historical memory but also to foster a more inclusive and equitable perspective on science.
