The Museo Galileo, in partnership with the Library of Science and Technology of the University of Florence, is significantly enhancing its documentary heritage with a major update to its forestry collection.
Completed during the summer of 2025, the project involves the acquisition of new volumes and digital resources. The aim is to offer increasingly comprehensive support for research in forest management, ecology, and environmental sustainability. Within the collection, photography is a fundamental tool for studying the relationship between humans and the forest. It serves as a vital visual memory that helps reconstruct operational techniques and interpret the evolution of the forest landscape.
